ENSEMBLE CAMBRICA
Named after Meconopsis Cambrica (the Welsh Poppy), Ensemble Cambrica is a brand new group formed from the
merger of two extremely successful orchestra’s, the Cardiff Sinfonietta and the Welsh Sinfonia. The musicians from both orchestras have enjoyed working with many high profile artists including Nicola Benedetti, Evelyn Glennie and Catrin Finch.
Ensemble Cambrica's aim is to connect with the community whether locally or further away. The orchestra can change size and adapt to perform in many settings, from a small ensemble performing at a care home, a full symphony orchestra performing in a concert hall
or collaborating with with a full choir.
